Interpretation centers in the context of Brazilian cultural policy
Abstract
The presentation and interpretation processes correspond to forms of interaction with the cultural heritage and are related to its preservation. In this way, interpretive communication is understood as a strategy to connect the visitor intellectually and emotionally with the meanings of the visited heritage resource, so that they can enjoy and appreciate it. The purpose of this article is to contextualize the introduction of interpretive communication in the field of cultural heritage, identify initiatives to create interpretive centers in Brazil and associate them with the cultural policies conducted by Brazil since 2018 to the present day.
