Green infrastructure
a literature review
Abstract
This article presents a literature review on green infrastructure, object of the doctoral thesis of one of the authors, with the main references: Benedict, M; McMahon, E., 2006; Ahern, J., 2007 and Pellegrino, P.; Moura, N., 2017. The article discusses the origin of the concept, in light of the evolution of urban and environmental thinking on: the relationship between city and nature and studies on the landscape; the construction and dispute for different definitions for the term; the infrastructural and technological perspective of green infrastructure in dialogue with the concept of “infrastructural landscape” and addresses the functions of green infrastructure from ecosystem services.
