What is within our reach?
Abstract
In times of climate refugees, we forget how many refugees Western society has produced from other species and cultures in recent centuries. To address this topic, Donna Harawya Haraway, a humorous feminist philosopher (Dolphijn, Spitizner, Head: 2023), mobilizes art, science, fiction, fables, and other possibilities to illustrate, through a multispecies cat's cradle, a way of thinking she calls tentacular, which differs from traditional scientific and/or mythological narratives by its commitment to life, vulnerability, and death on the planet. Thus, it is possible to expose the challenges facing the current generation, intensified since the turn of the 21st century.
