Urbano-Constellation – rehearsals-flashing under thunder
Abstract
Rita Velloso opens her book Urbano-Constelação with an image, a poetic gesture by the artist Erreerre (Ricardo Reis) in the series Vala (2016), a work entitled Here and where one reads “Imense sky here abyss”. Right from the start, the author, remembering Benjamin's invitation for us to think through images, underlines the constellation as a thought strategy. Throughout the reading, we follow her in her full essayistic, assembler and constellar exercise – and we feel moved to engage with the acute issues that her work exposes.
