Abstract
The Centennial Exhibition of Brazil, which took place between 1922 and 1923, was a milestone on several scales in national architectural, artistic and cultural life.
The Exhibition was conceived by the Brazilian government as the main form of celebration of the country's Independence, an event carried out on September 7, 1822, by the hands of the then Prince Regent, Dom Pedro de Alcântara, later known as Dom Pedro I.
