Collaborative workshops
development of a teaching and research strategy in accessible projects
Abstract
The interdisciplinary approach is a fundamental strategy for teaching and researching environmental issues related to the inclusion of people with difficult space use, as (children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and others. This article reports an experience that occurred at the graduate level, which used Collaborative Workshops to facilitate the recognition of the person-environment relations, taken as basis for the elaboration of architectural proposals. We discuss how the interdisciplinary perspective influences the insertion of the problematic of accessibility in the design process, being understood as accessible the place that, in addition to enabling the coming and going, invites people to enjoy the spaces and their potentialities. The activity was experimental, met the precepts of research ethics and involved professionals from various backgrounds. Explanation of the adopted methodology, exemplifying it with presentation of two Workshop.
