Architecture as representation, a contemporary approach
Abstract
The paper seeks to update the question of representation in architecture according to studies that stress the understanding of the work as a vehicle of meaning and permanence. It is a conception of architecture more related to time than space, where form is deliberately supplanted by experience. From various approaches, the designation of the aesthetic dimension can be verified as a privileged bias for contemporary thinking about the project.
