Abstract

This interview, conducted in 2018 as part of the research Smiljan Radić: Beyond Matter — Imagination and Built Reality in the Design Process, aims to investigate the foundations, methods, and processes underlying the practice of the Chilean architect. Throughout the conversation, key themes are addressed, including the relationship between design and construction, the notion of self-construction, the role of materiality in shaping the project, and the experimental dimension of architectural practice.
